I just did a thing….
This is a HUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGE experiment I want you to take part in with me. Read on…
Back in 2021, I wrote a short book about an NFT. Specifically it was Metahero (now Inhabitant) #505 from Pixel Vault. Those of us who minted these were hungry for lore and stories. We wanted to LARP (live action role play) and tell stories with them.
Pixel Vault seemingly had no interest in giving us a story or worlds — so I created one.
In Sly Doubt of Uranus, I defined the world of Uranus complete with the evil Jovian Monarchs, the eyelidless witches of Titania, Bloot miners, the fearless Ethereum Priests, the Clone Emperors of Io and much more.
There is so much more. This is a rich world with stories waiting to be told. Right now, this is my world. Pixel Vault didn’t want it. I invite you to make this your world too.
Owning a copy of this book acts as a license to tell the untold stories of this world. You don’t need to own a PV character, you only need to own one of these books and fit your story into the meta that I’ve already created here. Use your own characters, PFPs, or stories. This is an entire collaborative universe waiting to be shared. If you own a copy of this book and send me your stories — I will publish them in a series of anthologies on READL.
About the Story:
This book is the self-history of Sly Doubt, the most wanted terrorist in the solar system. Sly is largely misunderstood and he takes the opportunity to tell his side of things in this no-holds-barred autobiography. From his humble origins as the orphan of a Bloot miner who fell in love with a Titanian witch to his training as an Ethereum Priest and his lifelong fight against the Jovians who usurped the authority and power of the Urani people — this book tells the story that the Jovian overlords don’t want you to hear. This is the story of a lovable asshole who is doing it all for the people. Sly Doubt of Uranus. Rise Up, Uranus.
This entire book has been serialized in Vagobond Magazine with the final chapter being printed in April. I would love to continue sharing stories of Uranus in Vagobond Magazine — stories written by you!
Sly Doubt of Uranus is available on Kindle for those who don’t want to actually own the book but for those who are interested in owning it — you can buy Sly Doubt of Uranus on Readl for less than $1.25. There are 9998 copies available and each of them grants you the right to tell the untold stories of Uranus.
