PURPLE PROPHECY
Lightening crackled. Something purple fell
into the mind of Myrtle.
Synaptic response zapped the idea.
"Purr pill,” said the cat
into Myrtle’s prefrontal cortical tissue,
which tingled with the sensation
of inspiration sparked by a
talking cat with a purple
pill. "You can choose either,
option one or option two.”
"Know," or “not to know."
No is not an option.
Impulsive, she snatches the pill
and says, “Here goes nothin?”
Explosion of awakened purple santosha.
Every nano chip in her
firing, all at once. Death.
