Thank you. My mola art style, was indeed inspired by the molas of the indigenous Kuna Indians of Panama. Born in Jamaica, and at the age of 15, my father and my sisters moved back to his home country of Panama. I loved the molas, which are textile appliqués and I love to quilt and sew so it was fascinating to me.
This is so interesting, thanks for the share. I have been researching world arts and crafts, traditional and contemporary. There is the lure of culture that attracts me to ancient arts and crafts. In fact, I ventured into web3 solely to find a way to bring out dying arts into the world in a way more favourable to the artisans. Congratulations on reviving the art. Makes me so happy.
