i ran into a similar problem vis-a-vis search engines with my band "the nematoads." "Did you mean, the nematodes?" google would 'helpfully' ask, then immediately provide anyone looking for my band with the search results for 'the nematodes' instead; which i suppose meant that google's question was just rhetorical. That wouldn't be so bad - except that it turns out there is another band called 'the nematodes' based in a different state. I once went to that band's website or social page (i forget which). we shared fully HALF of the same 'fans.' we kept the band name anyways. on an unrelated note, i'm not playing in the band anymore, due to various issues, but we had a good 20+ year run. they may have finally gotten a replacement drummer for me, which is good; hopefully they can keep going.
